23 yr old man hit by meteorite due to marijuana

You probably read that title and had to start giggling right? I know that's exactly what I did when I read this article posted at DrugWarRant.com by Pete Guither

San Hoyo, California: A coroner’s report released yesterday by police confirmed the presence of marijuana compounds in the system of Jonah Ellis, a 23-year-old man who was killed last Thursday just outside the town limits when struck by a meteorite.
Police Chief Dirk Jackson refused to speculate whether this news would have an impact on the upcoming referendum on the legalization of marijuana in California this November, but noted that, “In the 10 years I’ve been in San Hoyo, 100% of meteorite fatalities have been marijuana-related, demonstrating a clear link. It’s certainly got to make you think.”
Calvina Califano, spokesperson for Citizens Resisting Against Pot, had harsher words to say about the referendum. “If legalization passes,” she said, “you can absolutely count on an increase in meteorite strikes. And we won’t be as lucky the next time. People will be smoking pot outside day-care centers, and when that meteorite strikes, the collateral damage will be measured in mothers sifting through the rubble for the mangled corpses of their infant children. Marijuana: harmless? Let those legalizers tell that to the grieving mothers.”
A representative of the Coalition to Legalize and Regulate Marijuana in California claimed that the meteorite strike was unrelated to marijuana use, but was unable to precisely explain why Jonah Ellis was hit.
Scientists note that meteorites are formed from the debris of asteroids, and that there are literally millions upon millions of asteroids. If marijuana is legalized, it could take many years to exhaust the supply, and some say the damage to society could be permanent.

Our Fallen Soldiers of the Koren War

This is by far the last thing I thought I would read about today. Once again I was going through some Y! News articles that were just posted in the past few hours and found this:

North Korea Threatens to stop returning US war remains <---Click to see article at Y! News.

According to this article, North Korea has asked the US 2 or 3 times now to go back over and get some of our fallen soldiers from the Korean War that ended in 1953 cease-fire, which they still have not replaced with a peace treaty.

This article talks a little about how we are still technically at war with the Korean Peninsula

Apparently the U.S. and North Korea were working together in order to find and bring back the remains of our fallen soldiers. This project was stopped in 2005 however when the U.S. claimed that they had insufficient security for the the personnel going. I guess the Pentagon is 'weighing' the answer, but they don't want us to forget that the administration for President Obama has a strong interest in getting our fallen soldiers back home.

So far we have gotten back 229 of our fallen soldiers in 33 different joint projects.

Now if you want my opinion, I don't know what the heck that fella at the Pentagon has to 'weigh'. I mean, those soldier gave their LIVES to fight for this country, and now they want to stop bringing them home. How is this the home of the brave, when the brave don't make it back due to decisions out of their hands?

Earthquake along Mexico border

Are we playin with her, or is she playing with us? This is what I wondered this morning when I logged online and came across a Y! News article about yet another earthquake, another large earthquake, has unleashed fury. Apparently yesterday, Easter Sunday, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit northwestern Mexico, which jolted millions of people through California, Arizona & Nevada. They say that the high rise buildings in LA were swaying when the quake hit along with telephone poles shaking.

Here is the article:
Strong Mexico quake rattles Southwestern US

I can't help but be sucked into the thought of either global warming or the world ending in 2012. I don't want to believe in these things, however I find myself thinking about it more and more. I mean, our weather here in SW Kansas has been strange enough in the past year...and frankly, I'm waiting to see how this Spring is going to be. I mean, the last 2 springs we've had heavy hail, lots of rain, and tornadoes. (the 1st - my apartment got taken out. the 2nd - my hubby nearly drove through, but ended up being sidelined on the highway for a while) But something about how things are going in the world, tells me that this Spring will be something for us to remember...sure glad I have a garage this time around  : D

Drama with Evony

Okay so seriously...What is it about the games on Facebook that are so addicting. I've played my fair share of the Zynga collection, such as Mafia Wars, Vampires, Cafe World, Street Racing, etc. But now I'm playing Kingdoms of Camelot and can't seem to log out!

But today I did a search on Kingdoms of Camelot and found a blog by a gentlemen by the name of Bruce Everiss. I was just skimming the page when I noticed to the right side that he had posted 'Evony suing me' and I could help by donating to his fighting fund. Well needless to say I didn't help considering this rough time, sorry Bruce. But it caught my attention because I found this game, Evony II the other day and have been playing it here and there in between Kingdoms of Camelot. I haven't gotten into it as much, however I've gone back to play again so that says something. I did some more searching around and found this article:
My opinion, it's kind of ridiculous...I mean, they took this case to an Australian court, where neither parties are from, just because Mr. Everiss wrote a few blog posts where he did as any real blogger does, then just 2 days into the hearings they turned around and dropped the case? Now they have to pay over $100K for what looks so far to me as a temper tantrum.

I guess in the end though I'm still on both sides. I'm still playing Evony II and still thinking 'Go Bruce'.
